Welcome to Dearing for Detroit.com. I’m Jai-Lee Dearing and I’m running for Wayne County Commissioner. I’m running because the people of Our County deserve strong leadership, fresh ideas and a real commitment from county leadership to break down the barriers that stand between them and a more prosperous future.

On our website, you’ll find all the latest news and information on how our campaign is leading the charge to rebuild, renew and revitalize the county we love so much, Wayne County. You’ll also find out how YOU can join us as we Answer the Call to lead Our County through these challenging times and into a brighter, better day.

As a lifelong Detroiter, I’ve seen Our County in good times and bad, but one thing has never changed: citizens of Wayne County remain the best people in the world. Now, all we need is a county government that reflects our people’s unmatched spirit, boundless energy and limitless potential. With your help, Our County will have just that.

We’ve got Big Issues to deal with, and we need Big Ideas to solve them. I believe in the Future of Wayne County, but the toughest part about the Future is that you have to start Now. So, let’s get to work! Take a moment to check out some of my plans to jolt our local economy back to life, restore order and safety to our streets and teach our children the lessons they need so that after our mission is accomplished, they are ready to accomplish their own—right here in the Motor City.
